Poor baby

Momma has been seriously slacking on the photos. So here's a never-before-seen pic of Nick when he was just born. That last month seemed to go on forever...and now, time seems to be accelerating! Hard to believe that he's 2.5 months already and I'm going back to work next week.

Two months

It's so hard to believe that Nick has been with us for 2 months...it seems like just yesterday that he arrived! We had his 2 month appointment today. Nick weighs 11 lbs, 4 oz which keeps him in the 50th percentile, and is 23.5 inches long which moves him down to the 60th percentile. All in all, a very average healthy baby!

Two things that the doctor mentioned: 1) We need to have him spend more time on his tummy each day in order to keep him on track developmentally - she said he needs to be on his stomach at least 10 minutes, 10 times a day! That's a huge increase from the amount of time he now spends on his stomach. 2) She thinks that his head is "misshapen" (yes, that's the word she used...you can imagine my voice when I replied, "WHAT?!!"). She thinks that the right side of his head is indented. The strange thing is, he sleeps on his left side? Andrew and I think she's wrong and that his hair was throwing her off. But take a look at his noggin' the next time you see him and let us know what you think!

Meeting some GREAT people!

Nick had some VERY special visitors last week! My Aunt Linda had driven up from Florida to visit and brought my grandmother to meet her newest great-grandson! I was so touched that my grandmother made the trip with my aunt to visit us - it's 4.5 hours and she's 96 years old! Nick loved meeting everyone - especialy Aunt Linda, who seems to be the only person who can get some good burps out of him!

I'm still around!

I just haven't had the time/energy to post or take any pics recently. Nick has had a couple of rough days (typical baby stuff, nothing bad) so Mommy is a little out of it. Hopefully things will smooth out here soon - maybe he'll start smiling so we can get a picture of that for everyone! Seeing a smile on his face would definitely would make these tough days easier.
