Time flies...

Sorry Nick fans...I have been slacking on the posts AND the pictures. So while I haven't posted anything since January 7th, it seems that I haven't used my camera since January 7th so I have no new pics to share with you. I'll do my best to fix this problem sometime this week!

Nick is now 20 months old and brings such joy and love to our lives. He's such a little sponge right now, picking up on things that we weren't even consciously trying to teach him. For example, he counted to 5 yesterday without being prompted. Now we've been counting to 5 or 10 in various situations (changing his diaper, picking him up, warning him to straighten up or go into time out) but it wasn't done so he could learn to do it for himself (not at this point, anyway).

Nick's also becoming a big imitator, ESPECIALLY of Daddy & Fury. Earlier in the week, he grabbed the towel we use to wipe Fury's paws after going outside, chased her down, picked up her paw to wipe it off and then put the towel back. We've also caught him attempting to eat off the carpet (face first), just like his big sister Fury.

Many people have asked if he knows that he's going to be a big brother and the answer is - we don't think so. He does pat my belly and sometimes says "baby" but I'm afraid to reinforce that behavior for fear that he'll pat someone else's belly and say "baby" when there's really no baby there! He does know that he's getting a new room (SpongeBob theme...can you guess who picked that out?) and will point out the new accessories and say "Be-Bob". We'll be doing some painting soon and building another closet organizer in the new room so that it's ready for Nick's new furniture that is scheduled to arrive later next month. Overall, I have to say that life is good right now - we have been very blessed!
