Joy

We visited Charlie/Alex/Tyler/Michael earlier this month to catch up on life & hang out. You can see who the biggest kid was at that visit, LOL! On our way home, we happened to call my mom & sister and learned they were close by so we met for a fun lunch at Cracker Barrel.





If I can digress for a short moment...it's days like this that really, really, really (did I say really?) make me miss my dad & Chris. I can't even describe to you how much they would have enjoyed Nick. Sometimes I allow myself to imagine how they would have played with him - Dad would be "racing" Nick down the driveway, just as he did with me at Nick's age, while Chris would be rocking Nick & reading one of the hardcover books she read to her own kids - but I quickly dismiss those thoughts or risk dissolving into a blubbering mess. It just makes me so sad to think how much they're missing.
