Angels...

Now that I have a child, I've been going through the baby book that my mom so diligently updated with important events and various milestones. Apparently, I became very bossy somewhere around age 2 (and some would argue that I haven't changed a bit, LOL!) and around age 4 she recorded that I began to become very interested in death, heaven, God and guardian angels.

Reading about this got me thinking...I have always found the concept of a guardian angel to be very comforting - someone to watch over you, guide you...someone to protect you. There's definitely been moments in my life where I have sensed their presence. I'm confident that Nick has his own guardian angels as well. There's a song by Marc Cohn called "Things We've Handed Down" and there's a line of the song that makes me think of one angel in particular:

"Don't know why you chose us
Were you watching from above?
Is there someone there that knows us
Said we'd give you all our love?"

Chris, thank you for helping Nick to choose us. I know you're watching and loving every crazy, sleepless minute. :)
